We, at Elmwood, are committed to the health and safety of our families, our employees and our community. Therefore, we will be following all protocols outlined by the CDC, the New Jersey Governor’s Office, the New Jersey Department of Public Health, and our local township mandates regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.
Cemetery interments will continue. If you need to make arrangements, please call 732-545-1445. Our caring staff is available to assist you. As per Executive Order No. 107, signed by Governor Murphy on March 21, 2020, there will be no public gatherings at the graveside. Please understand these measures are taken for the safety and betterment of our families, our staff and our community.
As instructed, we will be practicing “social distancing”. Therefore, if you are in need of assistance, please call the cemetery office. We will give you further instructions by telephone.
All events and programs at Elmwood are canceled until further notice. The status of all events and programs will be continually updated on our web site and on our Facebook page.
The gate at Elmwood’s Paul Robeson Boulevard entrance will now be opened. We are keeping the gate open so that neighbors may walk the grounds as long as permitted by federal, state and local officials. We must emphasize that all visitors must practice “social distancing” and stay 10 feet from others. All dogs must be on a leash at all times. We ask that all visitors do not leave trash in receptacles but take your trash with you.
It is our hope that Elmwood may provide our families, friends and community with a place to seek solace and peace during these difficult times. We look forward to the day when these measures will no longer be necessary and we thank you for your understanding and cooperation in ensuring the health and safety of all.
